Our Story
The Law and Business major enriches the student experience by building critical thinking skills and allowing students to apply legal knowledge to real-world situations. It is the strongest integration of law and business among Bachelor of Commerce degrees in Canada, with a focus on corporate law and ethics. Students graduate with strong knowledge in contract negotiations, human resources, risk management, policy development, property transactions, corporate social responsibility, and governance; areas essential to aspiring legal and business professionals.

History
Established in 2009, the Law and Business Student Association (LBSA) was founded to represent and connect students in the newly established Law and Business major at Toronto Metropolitan University. Since then, the LBSA has grown into a community dedicated to fostering professional connections, supporting student success, and creating meaningful opportunities across the legal and business industries.
